Clay Portrait Weekends with Karin Ort – 18/19 March 2017

Clay Portrait Weekends with Karin Ort - 18/19 March 2017

Take a couple of days and create a clay portrait. We provide the model or you can bring your own – and make a ceramic study of a friend or family member.

Karin Ort will take you through the whole process creating a portrait from building your armature to preparing your model for firing.  It can be as figurative or abstract as you like – the choice is yours – and Karen will help you create your artistic vision. Once finished the piece will be allowed to dry out and once dry, will be fired in one of our kilns. It will then be yours to collect and take away.

Karin has an exceptional eye for detail and is able to guide and encourage students through to reaching their creative potential.

The perfect environment for creativity.

The course that I experienced has completely changed my approach to my own creativity. It’s laughable now that I was so worried about my lack of artistic flair.     Alison Pink
