Our Exhibition
OUR BIENNUAL EXHIBITION WILL BE HELD ON
................27th-30th AUGUST 2010!
The last one was was held over Bank Holiday Weekend,2008.
As will happen this year, we coincided with the Towersey Music Festival, now in its 45th year. www.towerseyfestival.com
A REPORT ON THE 2008 EXHIBITION FOLLOWS....
This was our biggest and best exhibition so far. We used all our available space to show works by our students and other local artists. In all 35 different artists work was on display. This meant we had a very wide range of different media represented including Paint, Ceramics, Sculpture, Wirework, Glass and Mosaic, as well as textiles.
We were pleasantly surprised at the numbers of visitors and also the wonderful comments made in our visitors book. Thank you to any one who found the time on a busy bank holiday to visit us!
It was so lovely to see so many people enjoying it all and then finish it off with a tea or coffee and one of our delicious home made cakes. Many of the Studio users have proved to be very adept cake bakers as well as artists (and consumers of the said produce!!!)
It was fun,hard work but ultimatly very rewarding. We include some photos of the work shown as well as the new totem; a group effort.
