We run courses in Sculpture, Clay Modelling, Oil Painting, Mixed Media and much more.

Here at the Phoenix Studio, students enjoy the calming, therapeutic and, above all, friendly atmosphere. People are able to get away from the rigours of everyday life and spend whole days indulging their artistic tendencies.

Peter Jones and fellow sculptor, Karin Ort, started weekly ‘Sculpting from Life’ workshops in January 2004. These are now run on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Twenty-four people, many of who had never worked with clay before, are now producing competent and pleasing figurative pieces and portrait heads.

We also run a weekly oil painting class on Mondays. This, too, has proved very popular and some beautiful work has been produced with the guidance of Linda Daniell.

People with full time jobs are also able to participate and learn new skills on our weekend courses. Courses in Life drawing and Mosaic are run as well as those in Clay and Wire Sculpture. There are still places on most of these courses, and a phone call/email will ensure that the newest course details will be sent to anyone with an interest.

Coffee/Tea Breaks and lunch are always enjoyable! We have all made new friends here.
