Join James Ort, for two relaxed summer days, creating animals in clay.
James will take you through a range of processes from constructing armatures, applying the clay, the principles of firing your work and then on to glazing. You’ll learn to build multiple-legged insects & arthropods using an exciting new technique that James has developed. You should aim to produce three or more sculptures over the course of the two days.
Your work will be dried out and fired. You can then come back and add colourful underglazes should you wish, either on a Creative Tuesday or a date arranged between us.
The technique I use is really expressive, loose and breaks all the rules. It is this creative quality that bring the pieces to life.
Signed up for the course or considering doing so?
Then please read the Need to Know Information pack and the Choosing Reference Material Selecting Guide I have prepared.
