Clay Life Modelling Weekend with Karin Ort, 8/9 December 2018

Clay Life Modelling Weekend with Karin Ort, 8/9 December 2018

With step-by-step tuition from Karin Ort, make a clay sculpture based on one of our life models.

Karin will guide you through the process of clay modelling; explaining how to handle & control the clay, get your proportions right and finish the piece in preparation for firing.

Perfect for the complete novice and experienced artists alike, you can work in a realistic or abstract manner and interpret what you see in your own particular way. Once finished the piece will be dried out and fired in one of our kilns.

Karin has an exceptional eye for detail and is able to guide and encourage students through to reaching their creative potential.

An excellent course and highly addictive!

I started coming here 3 years ago and I’ve been coming ever since.

The Phoenix studio is a wonderful place, a gem set in the South Oxfordshire countryside. But it’s the people who make the place. Try it, you won’t be disappointed.

I’m hooked!

I’ve always painted and thought I would be hopeless at sculpture.

Surrounded by some great clay modelling pieces whilst painting at the Phoenix I was nudged into having a go. Ten weeks later I can only say I’m hooked!
