It’s not an art course but First Aid is so essential to us all we thought why not?

People often take first aid for granted but in a life or death situation, how confident are you in saving a life?

This course will arm you with good fist aid knowledge, giving you the skills and knowledge to make a big difference if the time arises – be it on a friend, family member or anyone.  The course covers common injuries and illnesses, providing you with a tool box of simple skills which can help when needed.

The sessions will include:

  • Expert tuition from Bruce Petty (from Invenio Training).
  • Covering a range of topics including:
    • Basic Life Support,
    • Bleeding,
    • Burns,
    • Heart Attacks
    • & recognising a Stroke.
  • Bruce makes training practical and fun, with an emphasis on keeping things simple.
  • He avoids unnecessary medical jargon, helping you understand and to give you confidence in your actions.
  • He always includes caring for children and an introduction to Automatic External Defibrillators as they are readily available for public use.

ABOUT THE TUTOR

Bruce Petty

Bruce is the found of Invenio Training.  He comes highly recommended by fellow Towersey residents.

He served in the military for nine years, six years working for the Home Office and squeezed in five years in a mountain rescue team. He’s been instructing and teaching over 25 years including head of department in FE college. Most recently he retrained to work for ambulance service which he continues part time whilst running first aid training.
