Come piece together your creativity on Rosalind Wates’  Mosaic Summer Workshop Extra. She’s an artist inspired by the natural world and she specializes in mosaics. She also loves to pass on her passion on to others! 

Mosaic making in an informal and friendly setting for beginners and experienced mosaicists. Learn how to cut and arrange the tesserae, and how to grout and complete the mosaic. Experienced students can try out new techniques. Students may wish to bring their own materials, although everything needed to create a small mosaic (including glass and ceramic tesserae) will be available during the course, at prices competitive to those found at shops and suppliers. We’ll cover classic mosaic styles, and students will gain a thorough grounding in skills and techniques, although the emphasis of the course is on individual creativity. It’s fun, creative, absorbing, and sociable!

This workshop includes:

• How to fix the tiles in place

Suitable for?

Anyone regardless of experience – we generally limit the age to 16 years old+ though.

Before you attend the course it is a good idea to have in mind what you would like to make.  This will save you valuable time that could be better put towards creating!
