Ceramic Animal Summer Sessions with James Ort – August 17th & 18th

Ceramic Animal Summer Sessions with James Ort - August 17th & 18th

Join James Ort, for two relaxed summer days, creating animals in clay.

James will take you through a range of processes from constructing armatures, applying the clay, the principles of firing your work and then on to glazing.  You should aim to produce two sculptures over the course of the two days – one reclined/seated animal and one standing.

Your work will be dried out and fired.  You can then come back and add colourful underglazes should you wish, either on a Creative Tuesday or a date arranged between us.

The technique I use is really expressive, loose and breaks all the rules. It is this creative quality that bring the pieces to life.

Signed up for the course or considering doing so?

Then please read the Need to Know Information pack and the Choosing Reference Material Selecting Guide I have prepared.

The price for the two days, including some materials* is £110.

This event is likely to sell out soon - early booking is advised.

*The cost of armature materials is included in the course fee. Additional fees apply the for clay, firing and glazing of your pieces – this is dependent on the fired weight of your piece but typically equates to around £20/student,.
